7. Place 1/4” glass work surface on sturdy table or bench top.
8. Position the retaining dam near the center of the glass.
9. With eye dropper and melted shaping wax; draw a bead of wax around the retaining dam, at the bottom (outside only). Fig. 3.
10. Have ready a second piece of glass slightly larger than the retaining dam. This will become the retaining dam capping glass.
11. With airbrush and mold release; spray even coating onto all surfaces. Do not over wet with spray, or cause mold release to puddle on surfaces. Allow mold release to dry to a pasty film (approx. Three minutes). Repeat this coating procedure two times. Allow mold release to dry for twenty minutes. Drying mold release may be accelerated with a hair dryer. Be careful not to re-melt shaping wax seal around bottom of retaining dam. Use this same procedure to coat one side of the retaining dam capping glass with mold release. Fig. 4.
