Pressing the Right Mold Half Cavity
If there is any roughness around the wire eye beds, or any M&CC is protruding above the mold face; you may use previous wet sanding methods, small mold sanding block, and #600 wet sand paper to give the mold face a final polishing.
81. Wash the mold half, and dry thoroughly. Re-install cap screws. Align the screw driver slots with alignment marks. Fig. 88.
82. Place left mold half onto right mold half. Make sure both mold faces fit flatly against each other. Fig 89. If not; you may turn the cap screws(alignment pins) slightly tighter. Place both mold halves in table vice. Re-install the hinge pin. Fig. 90.
83. Use artists flat brush, and paste mold release; paint area around the Master Plug Cavity on left mold half (seen here in red). Fig 91.
84. Close the mold, and press together firmly in the table vice. This will transfer the left cavity image to the right mold half. Fig. 92.
85. Open the mold, Fig. 93. Use a exacto knife blade to etch an outline 1/8th inch outside the cavity image. Fig. 6.
86. Wash the mold in tap water to remove all paste mold release.
