Someone once said: “Good things come in small packages”. And as it turnes out; Fishing Lures are somewhat “small things”. I; for one, am glad that I didn’t take up making Cruse Ships, or even Bicycles. It would have been impossible for me to begin mass producing such things on my ketchen table top.

Over twenty years ago; my first Fishing Lure Factory looked like this:

1.  One - industrial size glue gun.
2.  About 100 - 10” glue sticks. (the very flexable, clear kind).
3.  One - single cavity mold.
4.  A small assortment of hand tools.
5.  One - Paasche, Model VL, Airbrush.
6.  One - (non-holding tank) aribrush, air compressor.
7. A small assortment of paints, hooks & snapswivels, etc., etc.

All was stored in a Milk Crate.

This very simple and low cost lure making system produces retail quality lures. It also works great for producing low cost test models & protypes.
About the PVA Lure Factory

PVA (Poly Vinyl Acetate) is not a new form of thermal plastic invented by Trueflex Imagineering. PVA has been around for a long time. PVA is a common hot melt adhesive primarily used in the packaging industry. Most people are familiar with PVA as the common hot melt, glue stick.

The inherent qualities of PVA make it the ideal, low cost, and easy to use material for making solid, but flexible, clear plastic lure bodies (also known as “Soft Bofy” Crank Baits). This course will demonstrate TFI methodologies for controlling, and forming PVA into effective, high quality fishing lures.

THE AWESOME ADVANTAGE OF POLY VINYL ACETATE LURE BODIES

Imagine your favorite Crank Bait is now made of PVA; a semi-rigid, solid, clear plastic that has the feel of firm flesh. You have fine tuned the ballast to zero buoyancy. The body is covered with thousands of shimmering and light reflecting  micro sequins that appear to be real fish scales. The lure makes a subtle but audible rattling sound. The lure glows from the inside-out, and leaves a powerful scent trail for the hungry predator to follow. Now; imagine you are the only fisherman in the tournament that has this awesome advantage.
